Trek to the sky and the stars with an overnight, full day or weekend adventure in one of the UK’s most stunning national parks!  

For all our trekking challenges, we work with north-west company Global Adventure Challenges, who’ve been running guided excursions across the UK and the world since 1999.

With hikes graded from difficulty levels 1-3, you can join us in September or October 2021, or book your place for 2022 now to give you a goal to work towards if you need a little more training!  



Snowdon at Night

October 16th & 17th 2021 

Llanberis, Wales 

Registration £49, Minimum sponsorship £290 (This event can also be self-funded for £199, and then raise what you can)

 Difficulty level: 1 (Challenging) 

Climbing Snowdon is something we all say we’re going to do one day – but what about one night?! 

For this event, you’ll climb in the dark, wearing a head torch and following the Llanberis path straight to the stars! You’ll watch the sun rise above Wales, then enjoy a celebratory breakfast at the base of the mountain before making your way home – and no doubt back to bed! 

This trek is rated as difficulty level one – challenging. No specialist equipment other than broken-in walking boots are required (and some warm, maybe waterproof clothes!)  A guide will support at the rear of the group to make sure no one gets left behind. Snacks and breakfast are included. 

The minimum age for this event is 14 – under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult.

Peak District Challenge

October 23rd 2021

Hayfield, Derbyshire

25km: Registration £49, Minimum sponsorship £162 (This event can also be self-funded for £130, and then raise what you can)   

50km: Registration £69, Minimum sponsorship £198 (Self-funding option for £158, and 

Future dates: 11th – 12th June 2022 / 6th – 7th August 2022 

 Difficulty level: 25km = 2 (Tough) / 50km = 3 (Extreme) 

You’ll be rewarded with spectacular views when you push yourself to this challenging hike in the beautiful Peak District.

Starting in the Hope Valley at Castleton, one of the UK’s most picturesque villages, you’ll hike first to Hollins Cross and then on to Edale before joining the Pennine Way to the top of Kinder Scout, the highest point in the Peak District National Park. you’ll then make your way back to Hayfield for a celebratory dinner – or, for 50km hikers, a pit stop, before heading back out onto the Pennine Brindleway to Peak Forest, before heading back through the villages of Bradwell, Brough, Shatton and Aston. 

Don’t be fooled by the picture perfect scenery, these are long distance challenges that will require some training! no specialist equipment is needed however, simply some broken in  walking boots, waterproofs, and a small backpack for your snacks and camera!  A hot meal is included in the price of the trip, and you’ll be accompanied by experienced guides.

The minimum age for this event is 14 – under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult.

UK 3 Peaks Challenge

October 22nd – 24th 2021

Start: Glasgow Central Station / End: Chester Train Station

Registration £95, Minimum sponsorship £810 (This event can also be self-funded for £500, and then raise what you can)   


Future dates: 20th – 22nd May 2022 / 17th – 19th June 2022 / 19th – 21st August 2022

 

Difficulty level:  3 (Extreme) 

The UK 3 Peaks is the pinnacle of UK trekking challenges, and with transfers between each mountain taken care of, all you have to worry about is getting to the top!  

Starting in Scotland, in the rugged Glan Nevis valley you’ll conquer the UK’s highest point at Ben Nevis (1344m). From there it’s on to England, where you’ll see the sunset over Mickeldore as you scale Scafell Pike in the dark. After that, you’re off to Wales for the final ascent to the top of Snowdon. 

With a targeted trekking time of 15 hours or less, you’ll climb around 3050 metres in total, covering a distance of around 42km. You will need to train for this event (or already be very fit!) 

This weekend adventure begins with dinner and briefing at your accommodation in Fort William, and ends with a celebratory breakfast at the finish! Breakfast on day 2 (before Ben Nevis) is also included. Snacks are provided along the way and you’ll be accompanied by experienced guides throughout. 

The minimum age for this event is 14 – under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult.
